The Accountant/Business Analyst full responsibilities are as follows:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Accounting Operations:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, general payables, funding opportunities, etc.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Business Analysis:
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement process improvements.
• Evaluate and help execute mergers and acquisitions.
Financial Planning and Strategy:
• Assist in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and business insights.
• Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess business performance.
Qualifications to be considered for this opportunity:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or CFA Certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, financial analysis, or a related field
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
